About LANI

Find out more about LANI and how to join.

The Association

Formed in 1989 The Landlords Association for Northern Ireland (LANI) is the only organisation of its kind specifically representing landlords in the private rented sector in Northern Ireland.

The members of LANI represent the entire spectrum of private rental accommodation. Members range from individuals with one or two rental properties to landlords with large portfolios, letting agents and estate agents who represent many landlords.

The growth in membership reflects the increased importance of the private rented sector in the Northern Ireland economy and the performance of landlords in Northern Ireland appears to be the best in the UK.

Within the Association there is a wealth of experience in renting, maintaining and managing private rented accommodation.

What we do:

  • Encourage the highest standard of professional service
  • Encourage improvement of residential rental accommodation
  • Alert members to the implication of changing legislation
  • Liaise with government and other agencies
  • Respond to government consultation documents
  • Disseminate information to members
  • Maintain regular contact with members through meetings and         publications
  • Keep in close contact with affiliated associations

We have a constitution and members abide by a code of practice.

Why Advertise with Us?

As the only association of its kind in Northern Ireland, a relationship with LANI provides the opportunity to reach a large and growing audience of landlords and letting agents. If you are interested in working with us through advertising or something else, please contact us.

I joined LANI because I felt I needed more support and information than I had been getting. In attending the General Meetings I have met many other landlords who face the same issues as myself and I have been able to keep myself up to date with the changes taking place.

I joined LANI because it seemed like the most professional body representing landlords in Northern Ireland. I wouldn’t have known about the changes to the landlords rates or saved myself that 15% on all my properties.

LJ, Dungannon

I have found my membership very beneficial. I now belong to an organisation that is dedicated to our profession and which knows the laws and legislation that go along with it. They are able to keep us up to date with impending changes and represent the Private Landlord at many levels of Government.

The advice line is brilliant; whenever I have a problem the office staff takes my enquiry and someone gets back to me with the most up-to-date information.
